How we test

We score tools on jobs people actually have-not launch-day screenshots.

Checklist

Same prompt pack - portrait, product, landscape, text-in-image stress test
Free path - can a new user get a usable file without a card?
Export - resolution, watermark, editability after download
Commercial comfort - clarity of license language for business use
Workflow fit - chat, Discord, Canva, Adobe, or local

What we do not do

We do not claim a single winner for everyone. Rankings on the homepage map tools to jobs. Free-only readers should start at free AI image generator.

Want reproducible prompts? Use the fixed benchmark prompt pack, the prompt generator, and the prompt guide. Commercial comfort details: commercial use comparison. Scorecard CSV: benchmark-scorecard-v1.csv.
